45 minute drive back to wound care at 2:00.. when I tell them he's allergic to adhesive.....
I MEAN IT!
After wound care, somewhere along that 45 minute drive back home, I will be finding my friendly neighborhood "wine and spirits" store and spending some serious bucks.

OK. Here is the recipe for PICU Butt Paste. Don't let the name fool ya. I use it around Christopher's G-tube all of the time.
ReplyDeleteI make a little bit at a time, but you might want a little bigger batch than what I usually make so I will up it for you.
1/8 c Desitin creme
1/8 c Eucerine*
1/8 c Zinc Oxide
You might also want to add some Aquaphore*. The two with the stars are a little expensive, but this will clear up any most any kind of break outs. We used it when Christopher had tegaderm put on him after we told them he was allergic. Blisters in less than a minute.

Do you get an admission sticker on anything when you go to the hospital? Make sure you leave it on...and maybe take Vincentio in with you when you're beverage shopping...and let him leave his shirt off...and see if it gets you a discount.
